About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing secondary school in Hailsham as a Maths Teacher. Starting in September, this permanent role allows you to teach students across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the possibility of teaching Key Stage 5. The school values academic achievement and personal development, and this role offers you the chance to contribute to both.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver engaging and differentiated Maths lessons
Design creative lesson plans that engage all types of learners
Prepare students for GCSE Maths exams
Regularly assess, track, and report student progress
Provide constructive feedback and set clear goals for students

Essential Skills and Attributes:

Strong knowledge in teaching Maths across all key stages
Effective classroom management skills
Ability to differentiate teaching to meet the needs of diverse learners
Creativity in lesson design and resource creation
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Motivation to inspire and encourage students

Qualifications & Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK
Recent teaching experience in a UK secondary school
Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum for Maths
Ability to teach GCSE Maths (and A-Level Maths, if applicable)
Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply for one)
Eligibility to work in the UK
Knowledge of assessment methods and strategies
Experience working with students from diverse backgrounds
