About the Role:

We are seeking a passionate, energetic, and skilled Maths Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Hailsham this September. This permanent role offers the chance to teach a wide range of students from Key Stages 3 and 4, and possibly Key Stage 5, in a school that prioritises academic achievement and the personal growth of every student. With a strong focus on fostering potential, you'll work in a supportive, collaborative environment that encourages both personal and professional development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach engaging and tailored Maths lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4

• Potentially teach Key Stage 5 Maths

• Design creative lesson plans suited to various learning styles

• Help prepare students for their GCSE Maths exams

• Track, monitor, and assess student progress regularly through both formative and summative methods

• Provide feedback and set achievable student targets

Essential Skills and Attributes:

• Deep understanding of Maths, capable of teaching across all key stages

• Strong classroom management and organisational skills

• Ability to differentiate lessons based on student's needs

• Creativity in designing lessons and resources

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to inspire and motivate students to succeed

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK

• Recent experience teaching Maths at secondary level in the UK

• Familiarity with the National Curriculum for Maths

• Capability to teach GCSE Maths (and A-Level Maths if applicable)

• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)

• Eligibility to work in the UK

• A thorough understanding of assessment techniques and strategies

• Experience teaching students from diverse backgrounds
