We are seeking a dedicated Maths Teacher to join our secondary school in Leeds on a part-time basis, 0.8 FTE. This is a paternity cover role, starting as soon as possible. The position offers full-time hours by including one day of general cover each week.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or PGCE in Maths or a related subject.
- Experience teaching Maths at secondary level.
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage and motivate students.
- An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
- Flexibility to provide general cover when required.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality Maths lessons for Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students.
- Monitor student progress, providing timely feedback to ensure academic improvement.
- Adapt teaching methods to suit the needs of all learners, fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain and enhance the Maths curriculum.
- Provide general cover on one day per week, supporting various subjects as needed.
