Randstad Education is currently hiring a maths teacher to work at a respectable and a very ambitious secondary school in the Plymouth region on a full-time basis. Working in a sizeable mathematics department and instructing students in Key Stages 3 through 4 is part of the job description.
It is imperative that you have prior experience in a comparable capacity, since this role will mostly involve dealing with Key Stage 4 students and preparing them for their GCSEs.

As part of your role, some of your responsibilities will be:
- Plan and deliver dynamic, hands-on maths lessons that inspire curiosity and practical skills in students.
- Monitor and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback to help them achieve their academic potential.
- Contribute to the design and development of an innovative maths curriculum that emphasises critical thinking and problem-solving.
- Foster a love for mathematics and its real-world applications, encouraging students to explore diverse mathematical concepts.
- Lead and participate in maths-related extracurricular activities, competitions, and clubs.
In order to be considered for this role, we require you meet the following criteria:
- Hold a relevant teaching qualification with QTS, such as a PGCE, B.Ed., or BA Hons.
- Have eligibility to work in the UK or be a UK resident.
- Have at least 6 months of school-based experience working in a UK secondary school setting.
- Two suitable references covering the last 2 years.
- Hold a current DBS that is registered with the update service or be willing to apply for a new one.
