We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Maths Teacher to join our vibrant secondary school in Shipley. This is a maternity cover to start from September for a long term position.
Position: Full-Time Maths Teacher
Location: Shipley
Contract: From September
Salary: Competitive, based on experience
Requirements:
- Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) is essential.
- DBS Check: Enhanced DBS on the update service or a willingness to apply for one.
- Experience: Previous experience teaching mathematics in a secondary school setting is highly desirable.
- Skills: Strong subject knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to inspire and motivate students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver Engaging Lessons: Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons that cater to a range of learning styles and abilities.
- Student Assessment: Assess and monitor student progress, providing regular feedback to support their academic growth.
- Classroom Management: Maintain a positive and productive classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Curriculum Development: Contribute to the development and enhancement of the mathematics curriculum.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practices and support a cohesive learning environment.
- Parental Engagement: Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about student progress and development.
