We are seeking a dedicated Maths Tutor to work part-time in a secondary setting, supporting 16-19-year-old hair and beauty students who are re-sitting their GCSE Maths. This role will focus on providing additional learning support in a small group setting, helping students build confidence and improve their Maths skills.
Requirements:
- Level 3 qualification in Maths.
- Experience tutoring or teaching Maths at the secondary level, ideally with GCSE students.
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
- Experience working with post-16 students is desirable.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- A passion for supporting young people in their education and career progression.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and supportive Maths tuition to students re-sitting their GCSEs.
- Tailor lessons to meet individual student needs, fostering a positive and encouraging learning environment.
- Track student progress and adjust teaching strategies as needed to maximise success.
- Provide one-on-one support when required, ensuring students grasp key mathematical concepts.
