Title: Mechanical Maintenance Technician (Welder / Fabricator)
Location: Milton Keynes
Hours: Monday - Friday, 7am - 4pm
Salary: Circa £45,000 (depending on experience) + Overtime at £35 per hour + Extensive

Position Details:
This international food manufacturing company is seeking an experienced welder / fabricator, to be responsible for both reactive and planned maintenance onsite, to join their engineering team in Milton Keynes.
Daily Duties:
- To attend all site maintenance on both food production equipment and the site infrastructure.
- To maintain loose equipment and fabrication repairs of assets.
- Design and build bespoke items to improve the production site#39;s reliability.
- Completing fabrication audit work in a timely manner.
- Installation of pipework and infrastructure items.
- Maintain high standards across workshops, toolboxes and associated engineering areas.
- General mechanical and maintenance fitting on new developments or continuous
improvement projects.
- Lead the site fabrication and welding standards, predominantly Stick and TIG welding &
hygienic welding to food / clean surfaces.
- Record all work on CMMS.
- Ensure all activities are carried out within company and legislative health and safety
Guidelines.
Requirements:
- Several years' experience of working as a maintenance technician or welder/ fabricator,
ideally in a food manufacturing or production environment.
- Competent in hygienic Stick / TIG Welding / Oxyacetylene Welding
- Experience designing and building bespoke items
- Evidence of working with a production maintenance team assisting with breakdowns and
installs.
- You must be professional with the ability to manage your own workload autonomously and
lead by example to junior members of the production / engineering team.
- Able to Mark Up and Fabricate your own work
- Proficient in CAD (Drawings)
