Pay Rate: £12.86
Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
Contract: Temporary
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide secretarial and administrative support to consultants and medical teams.
- Manage consultants and team diaries efficiently.
- Act as the main point of contact for communication with patients, relatives, and healthcare professionals.
- Prepare and process clinic and discharge letters using audio dictation.
- Maintain accurate and secure patient records and manage hospital systems.
- Supervise administrative staff, including workload distribution and absence management.
- Participate in and document meetings effectively.
- Manage patient referrals, waiting lists, and scheduling.
Requirements:
Qualifications:
- Private and Executive Secretary's Certificate/Diploma or equivalent.
- OCR Stage 2 Text Processing/Word Processing or equivalent with additional shorthand/audio typing skills.
- At least 1 year of administrative/clerical experience.
Skills:
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in medical terminology and hospital IT systems.
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a busy environment.
Other:
- Full UK driving license or an approved alternative for those with disabilities.
