Make a Difference in Mental Health: Mental Health Team Social Worker, Carlisle
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Social Worker to join our dynamic Mental Health Team. This is an opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals experiencing mental health challenges, promoting their wellbeing and recovery.
Your Role:
As a Mental Health Team Social Worker, you will work directly with individuals experiencing mental health difficulties, providing comprehensive support, guidance, and advocacy.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Direct Work: Building positive relationships with individuals, conducting thorough assessments, and developing individualized care plans that address their unique needs and challenges.
- Case Management: Managing a caseload of individuals, ensuring their wellbeing and safety are prioritized, and coordinating services with other professionals and agencies.
- Support and Advocacy: Providing emotional support, guidance, and advocacy to individuals and their families, empowering them to make informed decisions about their care.
- Multi-agency Collaboration: Working effectively with other professionals, such as psychiatrists, psychologists, GPs, and community mental health services, to ensure a coordinated approach to care.
- Intervention and Treatment: Developing and implementing interventions and treatment plans, including crisis support, therapeutic interventions, and community-based support services.
- Promoting Recovery: Encouraging individuals to develop coping mechanisms, build resilience, and work towards their recovery goals.

Key Requirements:
- Social Work Qualification: You must be a qualified Social Worker.
- Social Care England Registration: Essential for this role.
- Updated DBS: Essential for working with vulnerable individuals.
- Experience in Mental Health: Demonstrated experience working with individuals experiencing mental health challenges.
- Excellent Assessment and Case Management Skills: Proven ability to conduct comprehensive assessments, develop effective care plans, and manage complex cases effectively.
- Strong Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Ability to build rapport, listen actively, and communicate effectively with individuals and families.
