The Role
A leading facilities management company is seeking a skilled Multi-Skilled Technician with either a mechanical or electrical bias to join a dynamic team in a commercial building environment. This role involves carrying out a variety of planned and reactive maintenance tasks to ensure the smooth operation of building services.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform PPM (Planned Preventative Maintenance) and reactive repairs on building services and systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair issues across mechanical, electrical, and general building maintenance disciplines.
- Ensure the safe and efficient operation of HVAC, lighting, power distribution, plumbing, and fire safety systems.
- Work proactively to identify faults and implement effective solutions to reduce downtime.
- Collaborate with other engineers, contractors, and site management to maintain high service standards.
- Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and company procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance work completed.
Essential Qualifications & Experience
- Qualified in either electrical or mechanical engineering (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, 18th Edition, or equivalent).
- Multi-skilled experience across electrical, mechanical, or HVAC systems.
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
- Previous experience in commercial building maintenance or facilities management.
- Ability to work effectively within a shift pattern and adapt to a dynamic working environment.
- Strong commitment to health & safety regulations.
