About the Role:
A 5 Star National House Builder is seeking an experienced Technical Manager to join their Technical team in Q1 2025. With over 17 years in the Industry, this company has achieved steady growth and is now one of the largest Residential Property Developers in the UK in 2024.
Purpose of the Role:
You will coordinate key information, engineering and working drawing packages to enable any given residential development to be built as intended and to obtain all necessary technical approvals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the coordination of information and communication with architects, civil and structural engineers, and landscape architects, ensuring consistency across all designs.
- Coordinate the delivery of surveys and reports required for the development, managing all related requirements from design through to completion.
- Liaise with consultants to ensure the delivery of civil engineering designs, including legal plans.
- Oversee utility designs and the initial laying of mains on site, ensuring that legal agreements are completed promptly.
- Coordinate street naming with the local authority, compile the plot list, and distribute it both internally and externally.
- Prepare all drawings and documents related to engineering and superstructure elements for tender, followed by the construction issue and sales handover.
Person Specification:
- Proven experience working on large-scale projects.
- BTEC HND/HNC in Design, Construction or Civil Engineering
- Experience working within a technical role at a residential house builder or contractor
- Experienced in analysing problems and delivering solutions
- Be able to design and interpret the designs and technical demands of others
- CSCS card qualification
- Use of Viewpoint drawing management system
- Proficient use of Auto Cad
