Key Responsibilities & Duties: * Oversee a substantial portfolio of SME clients, acting as the main point of contact and coordination for the delivery of accounting and tax compliance services, which includes:
- Preparation of financial statements (non-audit)
- Corporate tax compliance
- Company secretarial compliance
- Payroll management
- VAT services * Supervise and manage the workflow of staff in the non-audit department. * Provide high-level technical support to both staff and clients. * Review and ensure the quality of outputs/files and financial statements before they are issued. * Collaborate with existing clients to identify and develop new business opportunities. * Recognize and promote additional services to current clients. * Ensure adherence to deadlines and budget constraints across all assignments. * Assist with income tax compliance, including the preparation of accounts, filing of income tax returns (Form 11), liaising with clients, and managing the filing process. * Drive and contribute to the learning, development, and training of all staff. * Participate in the performance review of staff members. * Promote and enhance the range of services provided to clients. * Work closely with the management team to support the growth and expansion of the firm's client base.
Requirements & Qualifications: The ideal candidate will meet the following qualifications:
Essential: * ACA-qualified or equivalent.
* At least 5 years of post-qualification experience in a practice environment.
* Proficient in applying accounting standards, particularly FRS102.
* Skilled in handling various tax areas, including Corporation Tax, PAYE, VAT, and others.
* Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy in accounting tasks, including file preparation, financial reporting, and communication.
* Experienced in managing staff effectively.
* Proficient in accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, Bright, or other similar platforms.
