Nursery Nurse - Preston

We are currently recruiting dynamic Nursery Assistants for ad-hoc, short-term, and long-term positions in a primary school in Lancaster. The school is seeking qualified Teaching Assistants and nursery staff to provide essential support for the nursery on both a day-to-day and long-term basis throughout the academic year. Familiarity with Read Write Inc phonics and, if possible, continuous provision would be an advantage for those considering long-term roles at this school. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide in-class support for the entire class, individual students, or small groups (typically 4-5 students).
- Assist in leading small group work under the direction of the class teacher or SENCO.
- Support the class teacher in maintaining behaviour standards across the classroom.
- Help deliver and produce teaching and learning materials for students, including differentiated resources.
- Provide regular feedback to the class teacher and SENCO or other relevant managers.
- Assist with setting up the class, managing daily activities, ensuring continuous provision, creating display boards, and maintaining pupil journals and workbooks.

Essential Requirements:
- Relevant qualifications (Level 2/3 TA or equivalent).
- Strong knowledge of the EYFS curriculum.
- Previous classroom experience.
- Two references from the past 5 years, with at least one being a full child-based safeguarding reference.
Desired:
- DBS on the update service (Randstad can assist if needed).
