Requirements
- 5 GCSEs (Grade A-C) or equivalent, one of which should be in English or relevant NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care
- Minimum 1 year paid or voluntary experience of working in a Health Care or Education setting
- Candidates will be subject to enhanced vetting including an enhanced Access NI check and compliance due to the nature of this work
- Up to date Immunisation records to complete a full occupational health review
- Ability to build rapport with ease
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Effective time management and prioritisation skills
- Ability to work in fast paced user-centric environment
Responsibilities
- To maintain a caseload of allocated clients, prioritising (where appropriate) and reporting activity and changes to the occupational therapist
- To conduct initial interviews with clients and/or next of kin, gathering details and information about the client
- Where appropriate, to accompany therapists on home risk assessment visits.
- To ensure the safe and competent use of assistive/adaptive equipment
- Deliver a service, which meets all organisational and professional responsibilities
- Prepare/present appropriate specialist professional reports as required
- Communicate effectively with patients and ensure there is an understanding of their condition
- Promote and support effective team working, fostering a culture of openness and transparency
- Support the service's leadership team
- Maintain a high level of safety to ensure all service users are kept safe
