In response to increased demand for Office Administrators in Lancaster, we are seeking a highly organized and proactive School Office Administrator to join our friendly and dedicated team. This is a key role in the smooth running of the school, providing administrative support to staff, students, and parents. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for visitors and will ensure the efficient day-to-day operation of the school office.

Job Responsibilities:
- Act as the first point of contact for all visitors and phone inquiries, ensuring a warm, professional, and welcoming atmosphere.
- Manage the school's administrative tasks, including handling emails, letters, and school communications.
- Maintain student records, attendance, and school databases using [insert school management software, e.g., SIMS].
- Assist in the preparation of school reports, newsletters, and other correspondence.
- Liaise with staff, parents, and external agencies as required.
- Support the Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team with administrative duties.
- Assist with the organization of school events, trips, and meetings.
- Handle cash and payments for school activities where necessary.
Preferred Skills:
- Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and school management systems such as SIMS (or willingness to learn).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.
- A friendly and approachable manner, with strong interpersonal skills.
- A high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
Requirements:
- An Enhanced Child DBS or willingness to undertake one (we can help with this).
- Legal right to work in the UK.
