Role Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate One-to-One Teaching Assistant to support a Year 4 student with SEMH and learning difficulties. You will work closely with the student to ensure they receive the academic and emotional support they need.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one support to the student, focusing on their EHCP targets.
- Assist with literacy, numeracy, and other subjects, adapting materials to the student's needs.
- Help the student manage their emotions and behaviours in the classroom.
- Collaborate with teachers and parents to track progress and update the EHCP as necessary.
- Encourage positive social interactions and emotional resilience.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience working with students with SEMH and cognition/learning difficulties.
- Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to foster positive relationships.
- Patience, empathy, and a nurturing approach to learning support.
- Knowledge of EHCP processes and personalised learning plans.
