Role Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated One-to-One Teaching Assistant to support a Year 9 student with an EHCP for Autism and ADHD. You will provide personalised assistance, helping the student with communication, emotional regulation, and academic progress.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one support tailored to the student's EHCP.
- Assist with the student's communication and social interaction challenges.
- Support the student in core subjects, focusing on their individual learning needs.
- Help the student manage their emotions and behaviours, particularly related to ADHD.
- Work closely with teachers and parents to monitor progress and adapt support strategies.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience working with students with Autism and ADHD.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Patience, understanding, and a positive approach to supporting emotional development.
- A commitment to fostering independence and social skills in the student.
