Job Title: Data Centre Operations Manager
Location: Slough, United Kingdom
Salary: £68,000 per annum + £5,000 car allowance
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Data Centre Operations Manager to join our dynamic team in Slough. As a critical member of our organisation, you will be responsible for overseeing the efficient and effective operation of our data centre facilities, ensuring maximum uptime and optimal performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee day-to-day operations of the data centre, including monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting of all critical systems.
- Implement and enforce operational policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
- Lead a team of data centre technicians, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure high performance and productivity.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to understand and prioritise business needs, and develop strategies to meet operational objectives.
- Collaborate with external vendors and service providers to procure necessary equipment, services, and resources.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to assess the condition of the data centre infrastructure and identify areas for improvement.
- Develop and maintain documentation, including operational manuals, procedures, and incident reports.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience in data centre operations management, with a strong understanding of critical infrastructure systems such as power, cooling, and security.
- Technical proficiency in data centre technologies, including HVAC systems, electrical distribution, fire suppression, and environmental monitoring.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members to achieve goals and objectives.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, with a focus on identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact confidently with stakeholders at all levels.
- Relevant certifications such as CDCMP (Certified Data Centre Management Professional) or equivalent are highly desirable.
