We're seeking a skilled and experienced Painter & Decorator to join our team on a contract basis, providing high-quality painting and decorating services within the social housing sector in Manchester. This role covers a wide range of tasks, including void property preparation, routine maintenance, and responsive repairs.
Responsibilities:
- Preparing surfaces for painting and decorating (e.g., cleaning, sanding, filling).
- Applying paint and wallpaper to walls, ceilings, woodwork, and other surfaces using various techniques.
- Completing interior and exterior painting projects, including glossing, emulsioning, and specialist finishes.
- Performing maintenance tasks related to painting and decorating (e.g., repairs, patching, touch-ups).
- Maintaining a high standard of workmanship and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Adhering to health and safety regulations and best practices.
- Working effectively as part of a team.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a painter & decorator, ideally within the social housing sector.
- Blue skilled CSCS card with relevant NVQ.
- Strong understanding of various painting and decorating techniques.
- PASMA.
- Excellent knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to the trade.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
