We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Science Teacher to join a secondary school in Leeds on a part-time basis, covering a maternity leave. You will play a key role in teaching KS3 and KS4 students and contributing to a thriving Science department.
Location: Leeds
Start Date: 1st December
Duration: Approx. 1 Year
Schedule: Mon, Wed, Thurs, Fri
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or PGCE in Science or a related subject
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one)
- Experience teaching KS3 and KS4 Science, with a strong understanding of curriculum standards
- BTEC Level 3 Science experience is desirable but not essential
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and well-structured Science lessons to KS3 and KS4 students
- Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages active participation
- Prepare students for assessments, adapting teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs
- Collaborate with colleagues and participate in department meetings and development initiatives
