About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Performance Officer/Data Analyst to join our dedicated team in Children Services. This role focuses on the collation, interpretation, analysis, and presentation of performance and business intelligence data to drive improvement and provide insights.

Key Responsibilities:
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Collate, interpret, analyse, and present performance data related to Children Services, ensuring the data is synthesised into clear reports, visualisations, and dashboards.
- Statutory Reporting: Prepare and interpret service information for statutory returns specific to Children Services.
- Data Management: Support the dis aggregation work of Children Social Care data using the Liquid-logic system.
- Bench marking: Develop and design information reports to compare the Council's performance with local and national targets, ensuring trends in performance are easily accessible and understood.
Essential Experience/Skills:
- Proven experience in extracting, manipulating, interpreting, and utilising performance information.
- Proficiency in working with large databases and data sets.
- Expertise in using SQL-based interrogation tools or similar for data extraction and manipulation.
- Skilled in analysis and visualisation tools and techniques such as Excel and PowerBI.
- In-depth knowledge and experience of Children Social Care data sets and systems.
We are specifically looking for someone with substantial experience and knowledge in Children's Social Care data sets and performance frameworks. Generalist data analysts may not meet the specialised requirements of this role.
