My client is seeking a Planned Maintenance Technician to join their dynamic team in Plymouth. About the Role
Reporting to the Maintenance Technical Leader, you will be responsible for maintaining equipment through regular Planned Maintenance (PM) tasks and other maintenance activities as required. You will support manufacturing teams with troubleshooting production issues and mentor technical staff on best maintenance practices. This role requires flexibility to adjust work schedules to maximise equipment availability.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform AM/PM activities to maintain equipment and ensure on-time completion of tasks.
- Collaborate with the Maintenance Planner to ensure maintenance tasks are documented and well-organised.
- Conduct maintenance audits to identify continuous improvement opportunities.
- Lead Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) activities as assigned.
- Support spare parts management and material preparation for scheduled maintenance tasks.
- Work during plant shutdown periods to execute maintenance plans.
- Assist manufacturing unit teams in resolving technical issues and optimising equipment performance.
- Provide technical training and mentorship to unit technical staff.
- Ensure compliance with quality systems, policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum Level 3 qualification in electrical or mechanical engineering (or time-served experience).
- Experience in a production environment or related plant maintenance role.
- Familiarity with SAP maintenance systems and TPM techniques is desirable.
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to work effectively across interdisciplinary teams.
- Proficiency in English and excellent problem-solving abilities.
