The Role
A leading facilities management company is seeking a skilled Plumber for a static role within a commercial building in London. This position involves carrying out plumbing maintenance, repairs, and installations, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and supporting the smooth operation of building services.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform planned and reactive maintenance on plumbing systems within a commercial environment.
- Carry out fault-finding, repairs, and replacements on pipework, water systems, drainage, and sanitary appliances.
- Inspect and maintain hot and cold-water systems, including pumps, valves, and tanks.
- Respond to emergency plumbing issues, ensuring quick and effective resolutions.
- Work collaboratively with other engineers and contractors to maintain overall building services.
- Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations, risk assessments, and industry standards.
- Keep detailed records of maintenance and repairs, ensuring all work is logged correctly.
Essential Qualifications & Experience
- Fully qualified plumber with relevant certifications (NVQ Level 2/3 in Plumbing & Heating, City & Guilds 6189, or equivalent).
- Experience in commercial building maintenance or facilities management.
- Knowledge of water hygiene and Legionella control procedures.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
