Pre- Construction Manager: Edinburgh
We are currently working with a leading contractor within the Infrastructure and Energy Sector, who are currently looking for a Pre-Construction Manager to work on a freelance basis.
Based out of their newly growing office in Edinburgh, on a project of over £2bn
This is a Hydro scheme.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and designers to ensure the project plan is clear and aligned with the client's vision.
- Develop schedules for pre-construction activities, including design, permits, and budgeting.
- Coordinate with various stakeholders, including contractors, consultants, and suppliers, to ensure all necessary parties are on the same page.
- Oversee the development of the project's budget.
- Ensure that cost estimates are accurate and that resources are allocated properly.
- Work with the estimating team to create detailed cost breakdowns and identify potential cost-saving opportunities.
- Ensure that all necessary permits and approvals are in place before construction begins.
- Liaise with local authorities to navigate zoning regulations, safety requirements, and environmental issues.

What we need:
- CSCS card
- SMSTS
- Ideally Prior SSE experience
- 2+ years in a managerial position
