We are currently seeking an enthusiastic primary school teacher to join a mixed gender public primary school in Crawley, providing cover on an ad-hoc basis. This role offers a great opportunity to gain experience and explore future long-term or permanent positions.
While the work in this school is on an ad-hoc basis, there are additional opportunities with Academics to pick up work in other local schools. This role is open to Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and experienced teachers, providing a flexible way to see different schools, gain invaluable experience, and earn money.

Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering pre-planned lessons
- Adapting lessons to cater to the varying needs of students
- Working effectively with teaching assistants where appropriate
- Thinking on your feet in situations where work hasn't been set or is not appropriate
- Marking and providing clear and concise feedback on completed work in a timely manner
- Managing classroom behaviour effectively and maintaining a positive learning atmosphere
Key requirements for the Primary Supply Teacher include:
- In-date DBS with no reprimands that prohibit working with children
- Relevant qualifications, such as a degree and teaching qualifications (e.g., PGCE)
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is desirable, and applications from NQTs are warmly welcomed
- Essential experience of teaching in a primary setting
- Strong commitment and a positive attitude towards the role and objectives
