We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a Year 1 class in a primary school located in the Leeds area. This is a full-time role, working Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm, with a competitive pay rate of £87.75 - £90 per day.

Key Responsibilities:
- Support the teacher in delivering engaging lessons to Year 1 pupils, ensuring they stay on track with their learning.
- Work with small groups or individual students, focusing on literacy, numeracy, and early learning skills.
- Help create a positive and supportive classroom environment, promoting independent learning and positive behaviour.
- Provide one-to-one support to pupils with additional needs, ensuring they feel confident and engaged.
- Assist with classroom management and help set up resources for lessons and activities.
- Monitor student progress and share feedback with the teacher, contributing to learning assessments and development plans.
- Support pupils during break times and other non-classroom activities.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with young children, ideally in Key Stage 1, is highly desirable.
- A relevant qualification such as a Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is beneficial.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships with children and staff.
- Patience, empathy, and a proactive attitude towards supporting pupils' development.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children (Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one).
- Eligible to work in the UK without any restrictions.
