This is an immensely varied and interesting city with a rich history. This modern city has a population of over 12 million persons and is the commercial and cultural heart of the surrounding Shaanxi Province. Xi'an has historically been a cross-roads city, both within China, and for traders from across the Asian continent. As such, it provides a wide variety of architectural styles, historical sites, culinary tastes and lifestyle experiences.

Requirements:

• You should have a minimum of 2 years post qualifying teaching experience and this should ideally include knowledge and experience in an inquiry based curriculum (for example PYP).
• The successful candidate will be a highly committed team player who is keen to contribute to the development of this new and rapidly expanding and forward-looking school.
• You should be student centred in your approach and previous EAL teaching experience is highly desirable.
• Applicants must be willing to play a full part in the school's pastoral care and extra-curricular programme.
• As this is a new school in development - an openness and commitment to contributing to the ongoing school's development is a must along with bags of energy, patience, diplomacy and enthusiasm.
