We are looking for a committed Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support to a KS1 pupil at a school in Leeds, LS6. This full-time role runs Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm, with a pay rate of £87.75 - £90 per day.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide personalised 1:1 support to a KS1 pupil with additional learning and behavioural needs.
- Assist with the development and implementation of an individualised learning plan tailored to the pupil's needs.
- Foster a positive and inclusive environment to encourage engagement and confidence in the pupil.
- Manage challenging behaviour calmly and effectively, promoting positive attitudes and self-regulation.
- Work collaboratively with the class teacher and SENCO to ensure a consistent approach to supporting the pupil's learning and well-being.
- Monitor progress and provide feedback to the class teacher regarding the pupil's academic development and behaviour.
Requirements:
- Experience supporting children with special educational needs, especially those with behavioural challenges, is essential.
- Strong understanding of child development and effective strategies for supporting KS1 children.
- A relevant qualification (Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent) is preferred.
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to adapt to the needs of the pupil in a calm and nurturing manner.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work closely with both the pupil and school staff.
- A proactive approach to promoting positive behaviour and learning.
- Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one.
