Procurement Lead - London - Hybrid - 7 Month Contract - Outside IR35
We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Procurement Lead to drive the end-to-end Transformation Programme. This role will lead Sub-Regional tenders, rate card compliance, and loss analysis initiatives, ensuring cost savings, operational efficiency, and sustainability improvements.
As a key member of the Logistics Category Team, you will collaborate with senior stakeholders across Europe, shaping procurement strategies that enhance our sourcing processes and supplier relationships.
Key Responsibilities
... - Procurement Leadership: Represent procurement in the end to end Transformation Programme, ensuring alignment across all workstreams.
- Strategic Sourcing: Lead Sub-Regional Tenders, transitioning from site-level to regional sourcing strategies in collaboration with Category Managers.
- Rate Card Compliance & Loss Analysis: Act as the primary procurement contact, driving efficiencies through analytics and process improvements.
- Supplier & Stakeholder Engagement: Manage relationships with logistics suppliers, senior DS Smith leaders, and industry partners.
- Savings & Value Delivery: Target £20M savings from sourcing while supporting additional £67M in efficiencies across the business.
What We're Looking For
- Expertise in Logistics Procurement with a track record of leading transformational change.
- Experience in strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations, and contract management within a complex, matrix environment.
- Strong program management and data-driven decision-making skills.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing abilities across cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and sourcing tools (Coupa CSO, Jaggaer, Transporeon, etc.).
- A bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) and 5+ years in procurement leadership roles.
Additional Information
- Location - Paddington, London.
- Length of contract - 7 month contract
- Hybrid - mainly remote role, will have to travel to London as and when required.
- Rate - £950 - £1000 / day rate outside IR35
