We are seeking an experienced and passionate Procurement Specialist to join our EMEA Procurement team. In this role, you will focus on indirect procurement categories with a strong emphasis on project management, contracting, and analytics. Working closely with key stakeholders across various business units, you will play a crucial role in driving cost reduction strategies and implementing effective procurement plans.
The ideal candidate will be a motivated professional with a proven track record in procurement, excellent interpersonal skills, and a drive for creativity and innovation to enhance financial and operational performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support supplier selection, tendering, negotiations, and supplier consolidation efforts.
- Implement critical contracts and manage supplier performance.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities through strategic spend analysis and market evaluation.
- Improve procurement processes and provide insightful reports to management and stakeholders.
- Issue Requests for Quotations (RFQ) and coordinate competitive bidding to secure the best value for goods and services.
- Support negotiations on payment terms.
- Oversee purchase order processes and invoicing within company systems in line with policies.
- Collaborate with Global and Regional Category Managers to execute global and regional procurement strategies.
- Engage with internal stakeholders to understand procurement needs and review supplier tenders.
- Promote best practices and drive continuous improvement initiatives across the EMEA region.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
- 2-5 years of relevant experience in procurement with a strong focus on cost savings.
- Experience in project management and influencing within a matrix organization.
- Previous experience in the healthcare sector is advantageous.
- Strong negotiation skills with experience managing national and international suppliers.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken); additional European language skills are an advantage.
- Proficient in MS Office and ERP systems.
- Strong analytical skills with a solid understanding of financial fundamentals and business control policies.
- Proactive, open-minded, and enthusiastic with a passion for procurement.
