Main Responsibilities
- Lead all aspects of purchasing activities, including raw and indirect materials and Plant Maintenance stores.
- Implement the site MRO strategy, reducing vendor numbers and enhancing supplier integration.
- Collaborate with production operations to manage supply chain process changes.
- Ensure supplier compliance with corporate procedures through regular audits and CAPA actions.
- Provide quarterly Material Forecasts and keep Finance updated on price changes affecting Purchase Price Variance (PPV).
- Act as the subject matter expert for departmental audits and supply chain-related issues.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and spearhead process improvements to maximise value for money.
- Manage compliance with HMRC Inward Processing and support Finance with customs data and audit requests.
About You
- Qualifications: Professional certifications such as MCIPS or equivalent are desirable.
- Experience: Extensive expertise in supply chain management within a high-volume manufacturing environment.
- Leadership: Strong leadership skills with a track record of developing and managing multi-disciplined teams.
- Relationship Management: Proven ability to manage supplier and customer relationships with measurable outcomes.
- Analytically Skills: Proficient in business analysis, process improvement, and organisational transformation.
- Technical Knowledge: Hands-on experience with ERP systems (preferably SAP) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
