We have a Full-time role for one of our clients DS Smith in Launceston is seeking a skilled, Night Shift Production Operator role available at Launceston for DS Smith, one of the leading providers of sustainable packaging solutions, paper products, and recycling services worldwide.
Role: Production Operative (Night)
Pay: £15.38 per hour for the first 12 weeks, then £19.40 per hour.
OT 1 Saturday : x1.5 = £23.07 per hour
OT 2 Sunday : x2 = £30.76 per hour
Location: DS Smith Packaging Division. Hurdon Road. Launceston. Cornwall. PL15 9HN
Job Type: Full-time, Contractual, Initially for 3 months with the possibility of extension
Shifts: 40 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 22:00 - 06:00 & Friday 16:00 - 21:00 (including 45-minute paid breaks Mon-Thurs and 15 minutes on Fri).
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate machinery and equipment in a manufacturing/production environment.
- Follow Standard Safe Operating Procedures (SSOW) and UK Health and Safety legislation.
- Perform routine checks and maintenance on machinery.
- Labeling product and stacking this on pallets
Essential Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Strong knowledge of UK Health and Safety legislation and Standard Safe Operating Procedures (SSOW).
Desired Criteria:
- Counterbalance Licence preferred.
