- Pay: £20.50 - £25.64
Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Production Engineer to join our Supply Chain team in Andover. The ideal candidate will provide essential support across various areas, including Process Engineering, Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), and Customer Services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process/Engineering/TPM: Offer first-line support to all areas of the Supply Chain and Customer Services.
- Design and Assembly: Review and approve design and assembly drawings.
- Data Management: Translate design information into SAP Material Master Data, Bills of Materials, and Routings.
- Documentation: Prepare assembly instruction documents detailing the production process from design drawings and initial production builds.
- Technical Resolution: Lead the resolution of technical issues related to materials, tooling, and instructions across Production and Warehouse areas.
- NPI Support: Review and support all New Product Introductions (NPI), providing updates and progress reports to ensure targets are met.
- Facilities Support: Assist the Reliability team with facilities activities, including issue resolution and updating site layouts/P&ID's using AutoCAD or equivalent software.
- Safety Leadership: Promote and lead by example in all aspects of safety, conducting risk assessments and reviewing safety in all SOPs, projects, and daily plant operations.
- Safety Projects: Support the Plant Manager on safety projects and initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications/Skills:
- Experience: At least 3 years' experience in production, process, or industrial engineering.
- ERP Systems: Knowledge of ERP systems, including BOM's, Routings, and Master Data.
- TPM/Lean Principles: In-depth knowledge of TPM/Lean principles and production process analysis (kaizen), ideally from a TPM/Lean embedded company.
- NPI Processes: Good understanding of New Product Introduction (NPI) and gated processes.
- Project Management: Experience in managing projects and project teams across multiple disciplines.
- Documentation: Ability to compile shop floor process instructions and safe working procedures.
- Self-Initiative: Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Numeracy and Literacy: High standard of numeracy and literacy.
- Flexibility: Willingness to be flexible with working hours and shifts at short notice.
- Communication: Strong skills in communicating and presenting data effectively.
Technical Proficiencies:
- Essential: Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and experience using ERP/MRP systems.
- Preferred: Experience with SAP, DDM (Design Data Manager), eQMS, and AutoCAD.
- Additional Skills: Experience in CAPA and root cause analysis.
Educational Requirements:
- NVQ Level 4, HNC, or equivalent in Electromechanical Engineering.
