We are working with a leading Facilities Management company providing integrated solutions across multiple sectors. They specialize in delivering high-quality, tailored services, including electrical, mechanical, and building maintenance. We are looking for a skilled and experienced Project Manager with an electrical bias to lead projects across various sites, ensuring timely delivery, compliance, and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management:
- Lead and manage electrical projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
- Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets, coordinating with internal teams and external contractors.
- Monitor project progress, making adjustments to ensure successful delivery.
Electrical Expertise:
- Provide technical guidance and oversight for all electrical works, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
- Review and interpret electrical designs, ensuring they meet project requirements and client specifications.
- Ensure all electrical installations and maintenance work adhere to industry standards and are carried out safely.
Team Leadership:
- Lead and manage on-site teams, including engineers, electricians, and subcontractors.
- Provide clear instructions, set performance expectations, and monitor progress to ensure the efficient completion of tasks.
- Conduct site visits to supervise work, address issues, and ensure project goals are being met.
Health, Safety, and Compliance:
- Ensure all projects comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement safety procedures to minimize hazards on-site.
- Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with relevant electrical standards and legislation (e.g., BS 7671).
Client and Stakeholder Management:
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring their requirements are met.
- Provide regular project updates to clients and internal stakeholders, managing expectations and addressing any concerns.
- Ensure client satisfaction by delivering projects that meet quality standards and service level agreements.
Financial Control:
- Manage project budgets, ensuring cost-effective solutions and controlling expenses.
- Track and report financial performance, identifying any variances and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
- Oversee procurement of materials and manage supplier relationships.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience as a Project Manager with a strong electrical bias, ideally within the facilities management or construction industry.
- In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, design, installation, and maintenance.
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations and compliance requirements related to electrical work.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of [X] years of experience managing electrical projects.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., 18th Edition Wiring Regulations, SMSTS, IOSH, or NEBOSH) are highly desirable.
