Project Manager - Tunnelling package - Snowdonia
Randstad are recruiting for an experienced Project Manager to lead a tunnelling subcontractor on a major infrastructure project in Snowdonia. This is a long-term role offering a competitive rate and the opportunity to work on a challenging project within a leading construction company.
Payment:
- CIS payment is available for this role.
Responsibilities:
* Oversee all aspects of the tunnelling subcontractor's work, ensuring adherence to project schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
* Lead and manage a team of project staff, including engineers, site managers, and subcontractors.
* Develop and implement project plans, risk assessments, and quality management procedures specific to tunnelling operations.
* Coordinate with the main contractor and other stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, and regulatory bodies.
* Identify and manage potential risks and issues, proposing solutions and corrective actions.
* Monitor project progress and ensure timely completion within budget.
* Prepare and maintain project documentation, including progress reports, meeting minutes, and financial records.

Essential Qualifications:
* Proven experience as a Project Manager or in a similar role within the construction industry, with a strong emphasis on tunnelling projects.
* A strong understanding of project management methodologies, such as PRINCE2 or APM.
* Experience working on complex tunnelling projects, ideally within a challenging environment.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively lead and motivate a team.
* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
* Experience managing and coordinating subcontractors.
Desirable Qualifications:
* Experience working with Hochtief or other leading construction companies.
* Knowledge of relevant industry regulations and standards for tunnelling projects.
* Experience with project management software.
