Randstad are recruiting for a Qualified Social Worker to join Knowsley Council's Child Protection Team. This is a full time position offering a fantastic pay rate of £39 per hour.

Responsibilities:
- Undertake statutory assessments under the Children Act 1989, including Section 17 (Child in Need) and Section 47 (Child Protection) investigations.
- Develop and implement child protection plans, ensuring they are SMART and regularly reviewed to address identified risks and needs.
- Work directly with children and families to promote positive change, build resilience, and reduce risk.
- Chair and attend multi-agency meetings, including Strategy Discussions, Initial and Review Child Protection Conferences, and Core Group Meetings
- Carry out direct work with children, using age-appropriate tools to ascertain their wishes, feelings, and experiences
- Present cases to legal planning meetings, prepare court statements, and give evidence in Family Court when necessary
- Manage a complex caseload, ensuring timely and effective interventions in line with statutory timescales and policies.
- Collaborate with partner agencies (e.g., health, education, police) to safeguard children and improve outcomes.
- Maintain accurate, detailed, and timely records using electronic case management systems (e.g., Liquid Logic, Mosaic).
- Undertake regular risk assessments, revisiting and updating plans as family circumstances change.
- Promote the safety, stability, and wellbeing of children, keeping them at the heart of all planning and decision-making.
Requirements:
- Social Work England Registered
- Enhanced DBS
- Social Work Degree
