Responsibilities:

• Provide support and supervision to a number of mainstream to assist them in providing excellent care to children
• Work closely with staff within the service and social work teams to effectively match children to families
• Assess and provide training/ development opportunities to foster carers
• Prepare high quality, accurate and thorough reports for a variety of purposes e.g. LADO consultations, planning meetings, children's reviews, fostering panels
• Carry out an annual review of foster families
• Contribute to the development of the fostering service

To be considered for the role:

• 1+ years experience of working within a similar post
• Hold a current Social Work England registration
• Have recent experience in fostering and services for children
• Possess good working knowledge of relevant legislation, policies and procedures in relation to fostering and safeguarding
• Be a strong communicator with excellent assessment skills
