Overview:
- We are looking for a social work qualified and SWE registered senior social worker to work in our Leaving Care Service in the Young Refugee Team.
- Candidates must have significant frontline statutory experience in social work and experience of working with young refugees would be an advantage with an understanding of age assessments, human rights assessments and an understanding of the trauma young refugees may have experienced before and on their journey to the UK.
- The post is 37 hours per week based in Sharrow, Sheffield 7 and candidates will be expected to travel around the city and outside of the city boundary.
- It is 4 days a week in the office (but that will be out and about on visits etc as well) and 1 day WFH.
- It is just young people not families they support as they are unaccompanied asylum seeking children so they tend to be older teenagers in care.
- The average caseload is between 18-20 at the minute.
Requirements:
- Social Work England registered
- Social Work Degree or equivalent
- Enhanced DBS
