Overview:
- Pontefract Team 2 - Locality, CP, Court Work
- Must have at least 3 years post qualifying experience - Needs to drive and have own vehicle
- Full Time - Hybrid - 4 days in office, 1 from home
- £35-£38 Umbrella depending on level of experience.
- Undertake comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs, risks, and strengths.
- Develop and implement care plans that promote the safety, health, and well-being of children and young people.
- Act as a key worker in child protection cases, including Children in Need, Looked After Children (LAC), and Child Protection Plans.
- Work collaboratively with other agencies, including schools, health professionals, and external organisations, to ensure a coordinated approach to safeguarding and support.
- Manage a caseload of children and families, ensuring cases are reviewed and actions are taken in a timely and effective manner.
- Participate in court proceedings, preparing reports and presenting information to support decision-making in the best interest of the child.
- Provide ongoing support to families, working to reduce risks and empower parents and carers to make positive changes for the benefit of their children.
- Ensure that all work complies with safeguarding procedures, relevant legislation (e.g., Children Act 1989, Care Act 2014), and council policies.
Requirements:
- Social Work England registered
- Social Work Degree or equivalent
- Enhanced DBS
