Randstad are recruiting for a Qualified Social Worker to join Manchester City Council's Duty and Assessment Team as a Team Manager. This is a full time role, with a fantastic pay rate of £45 per hour.

Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of Social Workers, ensuring high standards of practice in frontline assessments and safeguarding
- Oversee statutory assessments under Section 17 and Section 47 of the Children Act 1989, ensuring timely and effective decision-making
- Provide management oversight, guidance, and supervision to support Social Workers in complex child protection and safeguarding cases
- Ensure the team responds efficiently to referrals, conducting thorough risk assessments and working in a multi-agency framework
- Chair strategy discussions, case reviews, and team meetings, promoting a culture of learning and development
- Work closely with partner agencies, including health, police, and education, to ensure a coordinated safeguarding response
- Monitor performance, quality assurance, and compliance, ensuring that statutory timescales and best practice are met
- Support staff development and retention, creating a positive team environment that encourages professional growth
Requirements:
- Social Work England registered
- Social Work Degree or equivalent
- Enhanced DBS
