Randstad is recruiting for a Team Manager to join Oldham Council's Permanence Team. This is a permanent role, offering a competitive salary of up to £52,805 per year, along with a comprehensive benefits package.
About the Role:
As Team Manager in the Permanence Team, you will lead and manage a team of dedicated social workers focused on securing long-term stability for children in care. Your team will be responsible for progressing care plans for children where long-term permanence-such as adoption, long-term fostering, or special guardianship-is the goal.
You will provide high-quality reflective supervision, support decision-making, and ensure all statutory responsibilities are met to the highest standard. Working collaboratively with children, families, carers, and partner agencies, you'll champion permanence planning and help drive forward better outcomes for children and young people.
You will also play a key role in service development, contributing to continuous improvement and supporting your team through a strong culture of learning, support, and accountability.

Requirements:
- Registration with Social Work England
- Qualified Social Worker (Degree or equivalent)
- Enhanced DBS clearance
- Proven experience managing or supervising children's social work
- Deep understanding of permanence planning and statutory responsibilities
