Randstad are seeking a Qualified Social Worker to join Bury Council's Child Protection Team as a Team Manager Case Conference Chair. This is a full time role offering an amazing rate of £46 per hour.

We are the first authority within the Greater Manchester area to implement and pioneer Herefordshire's Family Safeguarding model. Responsibilities:
- You will lead a team comprising of a 3 Child Protection Case Conference Chairs, a CiN/YPP Independent Reviewing Officer and support with the workload of the Business Support Team.
- You will work alongside and support the IRO Team manager and provide management cover in this area.
- Within Family Safeguarding we use motivational interviewing and a multi-agency approach under the Family Safeguarding model, where Social Workers, Family Support Workers, Domestic Abuse Practitioners, Recovery Workers, Mental Health Practitioners, and Psychologists collaborate closely to address family issues efficiently, reducing the need for referrals to other agencies.
- You will chair meetings and be able to handle complex and competing demands to ensure the best outcomes possible for children and young people.
- You will need to be comfortable working in a multi-agency environment and able to question and challenge partner agencies in the same way as our social care colleagues.
Requirements:
- Social Work Degree or equivalent
- Social Work England Registration
- Enhanced DBS
- At least 5 years post qualification experienced under your belt and a full understanding of and experience of working within a Safeguarding and Quality Assurance Unit.
