Randstad are recruiting for a Qualified Social Worker to join Lancashire County Council's Wellbeing and Early Support (Risk Assessing Referrals). This is a full time role, offering an amazing pay rate of £33 per hour.

Responsibilities:
- To undertake risk assessments on incoming referrals to the Wellbeing and Early Support Service.
- The role will focus on prioritising cases for allocation and ensuring the effective triage and response to referrals to promote positive outcomes for children and families.
- Risk Assessment: Conduct comprehensive risk assessments of referrals to identify the level of risk and priority for allocation.
- Screening and Triage: Evaluate incoming information, ensuring referrals meet the appropriate thresholds and are directed to the right services.
- Decision-Making: Use professional judgment to prioritize referrals based on safeguarding concerns, urgency, and service user needs.
- Collaboration: Work closely with multi-agency partners, including health, education, and voluntary organisations, to gather relevant information and inform assessments.
- Recording and Reporting: Maintain accurate, timely, and detailed case records in line with local authority policies and procedures.
- Legislation and Guidance: Ensure all decisions and actions comply with statutory requirements, including the Children Act 1989 and Working Together to Safeguard Children.
- Safeguarding: Identify and escalate safeguarding concerns promptly and ensure appropriate protective actions are taken.
- Service Improvement: Contribute to the development of triage and allocation processes to enhance service delivery and outcomes.
Requirements:
- Social Work England registered
- Enhanced DBS
- Social Work Degree or equivalent
