Randstad is currently on the lookout for a Qualified Social Worker to join Knowsley Council's esteemed Child Protection team. This full-time position offers an exceptional rate of £37 per hour.

Responsibilities:
- Manage a protected caseload comprising Child Protection and Children in Need cases
- Potential involvement in court proceedings and related tasks
- Conduct thorough assessments of children's needs, including risk evaluations and evaluation of parental capacity
- Develop and implement effective intervention strategies to address identified concerns and enhance outcomes for children and families
- Provide direct support to children and families, offering guidance, advice, and facilitating access to relevant services and resources
- Collaborate closely with other professionals, including social workers, therapists, and legal representatives, to ensure cohesive and holistic support for families
- Prepare meticulous reports and represent the council in court hearings, articulating evidence and recommendations clearly and professionally
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all interventions while upholding strict confidentiality in compliance with legal and ethical standards
- Demonstrate a sound understanding of pertinent legislation, policies, and procedures pertaining to child protection and safeguarding
- Exhibit strong assessment and analytic skills, capable of identifying risks and formulating effective intervention plans
- Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, facilitating meaningful engagement with children, families, and fellow professionals
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, managing a complex caseload and meeting deadlines proficiently
- Display a high level of emotional resilience and adeptness at working under pressure
Requirements:
- Social Work Degree or equivalent qualification
- Registration with Social Work England
- Enhanced DBS clearance
Experience:
- Experience working with children in a professional capacity
