If so, Randstad are recruiting for a Social Worker to join Manchester Council's Kinship Fostering Team. This is a full-time role offering upto £35.00 hourly.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Assessments: Undertake initial and full assessments of potential kinship carers, ensuring that their suitability and capacity to provide safe and appropriate care are thoroughly evaluated.
• Case Management: Manage a caseload of children and families, ensuring regular visits and ongoing support to kinship carers and children in placement.
• Child Protection: Work closely with children and families to ensure their safety and well-being, identifying and managing risks, and implementing safeguarding procedures where necessary.
• Support and Training: Provide guidance and support to kinship carers, helping them understand their role and offering ongoing training to ensure high standards of care.
• Court Work: Prepare reports for court proceedings, attend hearings, and represent the local authority when required.
• Collaboration: Work in partnership with other agencies, including health, education, and other social care professionals, to ensure a holistic and multi-disciplinary approach to each child's care plan.

Requirements:

• Social Work England registered
• Social Work Degree or equivalent
• Enhanced DBS
