If so, Randstad are recruiting for a Social Worker to join Manchester Council's Duty and Assessment Team. This is a full-time role offering upto £35.00 hourly.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Initial Assessments: Respond to and assess referrals to ensure the immediate safety and well-being of children and families. Undertake initial assessments in line with statutory requirements.
• Safeguarding: Identify risks and safeguard children at risk of harm, working in collaboration with other agencies to put protective measures in place.
• Case Management: Develop and implement child protection plans for children in need, ensuring that services are delivered to meet the specific needs of children and families.
• Risk Assessment: Evaluate the risks to children and families and make decisions based on thorough assessments of the circumstances.
• Multi-Agency Collaboration: Work closely with other professionals, including health services, schools, and police, to coordinate a holistic response and ensure the best outcomes for children and families.
• Court Work: Prepare and present reports for court hearings, attending hearings as necessary, and ensuring that all legal requirements are met.

Requirements:

• Social Work England registered
• Social Work Degree or equivalent
• Enhanced DBS
