If so, Randstad is recruiting for a Senior Social Worker to join Oldham Council's Safeguarding and Care Planning Team. This is a permanent position, offering up to £45,718 per year, along with a generous benefits package and retention incentive.
Here's the Role:
As a Social Worker in the Safeguarding and Care Planning Team, you will work directly with children and families where ongoing support and safeguarding is required. You will:
- Carry a caseload of children who are subject to Child Protection Plans, Child in Need Plans, or who are Looked After.
- Build meaningful relationships with children and families to assess needs and create effective care and safety plans.
- Lead on statutory interventions, attend legal planning meetings, and prepare court reports where necessary.
- Work closely with multi-agency professionals (health, education, legal, and police) to coordinate care and drive better outcomes.
- Ensure all work aligns with statutory duties, local procedures, and best practice standards.

Requirements:
- Registered with Social Work England
- Qualified Social Worker (Degree/DipSW/MA or equivalent)
- Enhanced DBS check
- Experience in children's safeguarding and statutory casework
