We are seeking a dedicated Social Worker to join our team at a residential school catering to children aged 12-18. The school provides a safe, nurturing environment for students to grow academically, emotionally, and socially, ensuring they have the tools to achieve their full potential.
The position can be either on a temporary or fixed term contract.

Responsibilities:
As a Social Worker within our residential setting, you will play a key role in safeguarding and promoting the well-being of our students. You will work closely with families, school staff, and external agencies to provide comprehensive support tailored to the individual needs of each child.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build trusting relationships with students to understand and address their emotional, social, and developmental needs.
- Identifying areas that need improvement, making plans and implementing them.
- Provide individual and group support, focusing on resilience and life skills.
- Collaborate with teaching and residential staff to create a holistic approach to student care.
- Conduct assessments and develop tailored care plans.
- Act as a key liaison between the school, families, and external services.
- Monitor and evaluate progress, maintaining accurate records in compliance with regulatory guidelines.
- Advocate for children's needs, ensuring their voices are heard in decisions affecting them.
- Contribute to safeguarding practices and ensure adherence to child protection policies.
Qualifications and registrations:
- Qualified Social Worker
- SSSC registered in the Social Work part of the register
