show moreAn established and growing Folkestone-based construction company is seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join their dynamic team. Specializing in a diverse range of commercial construction projects, the company focuses on strip-out, refurbishment, and fit-out works. Clients include universities, shopping centres, light industrial sectors, housing associations, and more. Project values typically range from £50,000 to £2 million, with a high volume of projects predominantly under JCT forms of contract.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage daily commercial and contractual activities across multiple projects.
Negotiate challenges and variations effectively.
Support the preparation of interim and final accounts.
Produce Cost Value Reconciliations (CVRs).
Price jobs using various approaches tailored to different client needs.
Individual Requirements:
Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry.
Strong understanding of commercial construction, particularly in self-delivered projects.
Knowledge and experience working with JCT forms of contract.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Ability to work accurately and efficiently under pressure.
Proficiency in Maths, English, and IT.
Full UK driving license.
Ideally located within a 45-minute commute of Folkestone.
