Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor looking to work on a flagship project? Our client, a market leader in the water industry, is seeking a dedicated professional to join their team. They have secured a prestigious project in Southampton and are looking for a skilled Quantity Surveyor to ensure its successful delivery.
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in managing the financial aspects of this high-profile project. Your expertise will help us meet the highest standards of cost efficiency, quality, and client satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Managing and overseeing all cost-related aspects of the flagship project in Southampton, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client specifications.
- Preparing detailed cost estimates and budgets, ensuring alignment with overall project goals.
- Conducting regular financial reviews and assessments to monitor progress and control costs.
- Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to define project requirements and objectives.
- Negotiating contracts and managing procurement processes to ensure best value for the project.
- Providing accurate and timely reports on project financial performance, including forecasts and cost management strategies.
- Resolving any cost-related issues or discrepancies promptly and effectively.
- Ensuring all financial documentation, including invoices and payment applications, is completed accurately and submitted on time.
- Monitoring and enforcing compliance with Health & Safety regulations and industry standards.
- Supporting the training and development of junior quantity surveying team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in quantity surveying within the construction industry.
- Extensive knowledge of cost management processes and methodologies.
- Strong financial and analytical skills, with the ability to manage complex budgets and forecasts.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
- Familiarity with relevant project management software and tools.
- Working knowledge of construction Health & Safety regulations.
- Previous experience in managing high-profile projects is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities and experience in mentoring and developing junior team members.
